Camp Integrated Health Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our onsite medical team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our healthcare delivery system, you will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement medical care for patients in collaboration with our supervising physicians. You will operate within the full scope of licensure, contributing to the seamless assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of patient care, including direct patient interactions, education for patients and families, and ensuring smooth transitions throughout the care continuum.

This full-time position requires working in a hospital setting, ensuring that you are directly involved with a diverse patient population. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, working 40 hours a week with a late shift commencing at 5:00 PM. • Conduct thorough physical examinations and review comprehensive medical histories to inform patient assessments.
• Order, manage, and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests, to support accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and treat a wide array of health conditions, including acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and preventive care within the family medicine scope.
• Develop and refine personalized treatment plans aimed at managing chronic and infectious diseases while ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe appropriate medications based on clinical guidelines and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and organized records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on various medical conditions, treatment options, preventative measures, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Manage daily rounds, providing a multidisciplinary team approach to monitoring and assessing patient health and progress.
• Continuously engage in research and professional development to stay updated on advancements in primary care and relevant medical practices.

You will be working with a diverse population of patients within the community, ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals. Your role will involve addressing complex health issues while promoting preventive care and ensuring patient empowerment through education. You will play a crucial part in transforming patient experiences and outcomes by advocating for their needs and coordinating their care effectively.

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Oregon.
• Specialized training or significant experience in family medicine or primary care.
• Strong clinical background with demonstrable experience in patient evaluation and management.

• Proven experience in a family practice clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• In-depth understanding of health care regulations and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• A demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.
• DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

The compensation package for this role includes an attractive salary range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
