Public Relations, Integrated Communication, Social Media, Strategic Writing
The Department of Communication is seeking adjunct faculty members to develop and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in our growing public relations/professional communication programs. The Department is seeking candidates with professional public relations and/or integrated marketing communication experience. Prior teaching experience is a plus. A Master's degree (M.A., M.F.A. or M.B.A.) is required.
Areas of expertise should include some or all of the following: integrated marketing communication, social/digital media management, multi-platform writing, advertising, crisis management, marketing and public relations. Candidates should be well-versed in the intersections between these areas.
Teaching responsibilities may include the following courses: Integrated Communication, Social Media Management, Public Relations Management, Strategic Multi-Platform Writing and others as department need dictates. Course sections may be during the day, night, weekends or online.
Candidates should possess a passion for public relations, an understanding of the integrated marketing communication mix and a dedication to helping students achieve in an increasingly complex and competitive professional environment. Candidates should have a commitment to teaching diverse populations.
