Territory Manager

InfuCare Rx is a leading home infusion provider offering a specialized approach to caring for patients in need of IV therapy and specialty pharmacy services in the homecare setting. Job Summary:

The Territory Manager will be directly responsible for sales and marketing activities. The employee will participate in the promotion of specialty therapies and services targeting prescribers, discharge planners, nurses, and other referral sources in the assigned area. Employee will work with physicians, health systems, pharma partners and other referral sources to support and understand their overall business objectives and critical success factors that drive patient discharges and prescriptions for infusion therapy services. The employee will function in an integral role to support the ongoing education of patients, hospital staff, physicians, nursing agencies and community members regarding the programs and services of InfuCare Rx. The employee will identify new opportunities and participate in the development of new programs in order to promote InfuCare Rx services. The employee will be expected to work closely and collaborate with various other business units, clinicians, and staff members within the organization.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops sales strategies to achieve company's specific objectives and revenue goals.
  • Interfaces with interdisciplinary team of clinicians and administrative support staff.
  • Targets physician prescribers, discharge planners and key decision makers and educates on company's patient specific services that are of value to referral sources and patients.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with all sales targets that directly refer patients/prescriptions for specialty infusion medications.
  • Identifies specialty medications, parenteral nutrition, and anti-infective therapies as well as related disease states and conditions in the treatment of patients.
  • Familiarity with the geographical service area and territory assigned.
  • Participates in community relations activities (i.e., health fairs, exhibits, educational programs, in-services) as needed.
  • Strategically/geographically plans field visits and customer educational opportunities to minimize travel expense and maximize productivity.
  • Evaluates sales objectives periodically and adjusts marketing plan to achieve goals in planned timeframe.
  • Collaborates with prescribers, health systems and other partners to facilitate prescription/referrals.
  • Identifies educational opportunities and provides presentations to referral sources.
  • Identifies and develops patient care related solutions in partnership with internal team and customers.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or proven industry experience (5+ yrs.) will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum five (5+) years of experience directly related to specialty pharmacy sales or pharmaceuticals required. Knowledge of specialty billing/reimbursement practices, pre-authorization processes and insurance coverage criteria for specialty medications preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication and organization skills and willing to travel to cover assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license with driving record and auto insurance that meets company standards.

Physical Demands:
