Job description

Position Overview Full performance level class in the laundry occupation requiring considerable knowledge of washing and drying machine operations, stocking and mending laundry; under direction, provides clean, intact clothing and linen for residents and staff. Summary of Job Duties Receives soiled laundry; sorts, washes, dries, counts, irons/presses, fold and stocks laundry; marks new clothes; issues clean laundry; delivers, stocks laundry and supplies; keeps inventory count of pieces of laundry handled. Picks up and Delivers laundry to the cottages.

Cleans laundry room and equipment; may determine when items are ready to be disposed of or used as rags; may prepare or recommend orders for new clothes and linen annually. (Performs Related Duties As Required) Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Ability to count and read warning signs.
