What is InsurTech?

Insurtech, short for insurance technology, refers to the innovative use of technology to improve and streamline the insurance industry. This includes leveraging artificial intelligence, big data, mobile apps, and other digital tools to enhance customer experience, speed up claims processing, and create new insurance products. Insurtech companies often focus on making insurance more accessible, affordable, and personalized for consumers, while also helping insurers operate more efficiently. The sector is rapidly evolving and is transforming traditional insurance models.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an Insurtech role, and why are they important?

To excel in an Insurtech role, you typically need a strong background in insurance concepts, data analytics, and business or computer science, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with insurance management systems, cloud platforms, and programming languages like Python or SQL, as well as certifications such as CPCU or IT-related credentials, is highly beneficial. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and effective communication set top performers apart, especially when bridging gaps between technical and business teams. These skills are vital for driving digital transformation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving insurance marketplace.

What are common challenges faced by professionals working in Insurtech roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Insurtech roles often encounter challenges such as navigating complex regulatory requirements, integrating new technologies with legacy insurance systems, and fostering collaboration between technical teams and traditional insurance experts. Many Insurtech teams benefit from agile methodologies and cross-disciplinary collaboration to drive innovation while maintaining compliance and client trust.

The Ride Platform - Marketing Content Systems Specialist

The Ride Platform

San Francisco, CA

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Job description

About The Ride Platform

The Ride Platform, Inc. is the parent company of Outdoorsy, Ride, Wheelbase, and Roamly. We are named for the single transaction where an operator meets a renter. We build end-to-end for the Operator Economy: the marketplaces to book (Outdoorsy, Ride), the enterprise SaaS to manage (Wheelbase), and the insurtech (Roamly) to protect the assets people turn into businesses. We enable millions of people to explore the world while helping independent operators build generational wealth. Our mission is to build the essential infrastructure for the mobility economy.

About the Role

We are redefining how content gets created, scaled, and activated across marketing. This role owns content strategy end-to-end and plays a hands-on role in content creation, while also designing and operating content as a system. The focus is on building structured, repeatable workflows that turn strategy into execution efficiently and predictably.

In a highly technical buying environment, this role is responsible for producing content directly, guiding content strategy across campaigns, and ensuring content moves through a well-managed content pipeline from conception to activation.

Jasper is core to how we work. This role makes it the foundation of our content systems and workflows.

What You Will Own

Content Strategy and System Design

  • Define and evolve our content strategy across the full customer journey in close partnership with Product Marketing and Demand Generation.
  • Design content systems that translate strategy into structured inputs, templates, and repeatable outputs across the content pipeline.
  • Personally contribute to content creation where appropriate, using AI to accelerate drafting, iteration, and scaling.
  • Ensure content supports discoverability, engagement, and content pipeline impact, not just production volume.

AI-Powered Content Systems

  • Make AI, primarily Jasper, a core engine for content creation and scale.
  • Establish standards for AI-generated content including prompts, templates, tone, guardrails, and quality thresholds.
  • Build and maintain AI-powered content systems that support predictable, high-quality output across campaigns, channels, and markets.
  • Ensure content systems are designed for reuse, modularity, and efficiency across the content pipeline.

Customer Content Systems and Case Study Evolution

  • Redefine the case study process end to end as a scalable customer content system.
  • Design workflows that maximize the value of each customer engagement by generating multiple downstream outputs from a single source.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, PR, Events, and Digital teams to orchestrate customer-derived content such as case studies, video interviews, webinars, contributed articles, press opportunities, and campaign assets.
  • Establish templates, interview frameworks, consent models, and activation plans to ensure customer content is reusable across the content pipeline.

Content Enablement and Workflow Design

  • Design and document workflows that shorten the path from campaign conception to launch.
  • Build templatized content formats such as campaign kits, landing pages, emails, nurture tracks, thought leadership assets, and customer content modules that can be reused and adapted.
  • Enable and train marketers across the organization to leverage content systems, templates, and workflows independently.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

  • Build and own our GEO framework, ensuring content is optimized for AI-driven discovery and generative engines.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation teams, and our digital agency to apply GEO practices consistently across priority content.

Creative Leadership

  • Lead and develop two designers, ensuring content and design operate within scalable content systems.
  • Partner with external agencies to extend capacity while maintaining consistency and efficiency across the content pipeline.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Content Creation, Strategy, and Campaign Execution

  • Serve as the content strategy lead for campaigns, shaping narratives, formats, and assets required to support technical buyers.
  • Produce content directly where appropriate, using AI to accelerate creation and iteration.
  • Project manage content initiatives across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Creative, PR, Events, and agency partners to keep the content pipeline moving.
  • Translate campaign objectives into structured content plans, timelines, and execution paths.
  • Reduce friction and rework between ideation, creation, design, and activation.
  • Shift the organization from ad hoc content execution to a systems-based content pipeline.

AI and Enablement

  • Train marketers on how to use Jasper effectively, including prompting, iteration, scaling, and quality control.
  • Build playbooks and best practices that make systemized AI usage accessible and repeatable.
  • Act as an internal expert and coach on AI-powered content systems.

Performance and Optimization

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to define content system outputs, success metrics, and dashboards.
  • Work with Marketing Operations to design automated handoffs from content systems into project management and execution workflows in order to reduce time to delivery.
  • Leverage PathFactory concepts such as binge rate, engagement score, and content sequencing to improve performance across the content pipeline.
  • Use performance insights to refine templates, workflows, and content systems over time.

What Success Looks Like

  • Content creation time reduced significantly through AI-powered, systemized workflows.
  • Time from campaign concept to launch meaningfully shortened through structured content systems and automated handoffs.
  • A clearly defined and operational content pipeline from strategy to activation.
  • A redesigned customer content system where each customer engagement yields multiple reusable outputs across campaigns, channels, and programs.
  • Jasper embedded as the core engine for content creation and enablement across marketing.
  • A library of reusable, templatized content formats actively used by Demand Generation, Field, Product Marketing, PR, and Events teams.
  • Marketers across the organization confidently producing high-quality content using shared systems and workflows.
  • Improved engagement metrics across priority journeys, including PathFactory binge rates and engagement scores.
Who You Are (Candidate Profile)
  • Strong background in B2B content strategy and content creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think about and design content as a system.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for content creation and scale, with Jasper strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to keep complex content initiatives moving through a defined content pipeline.
  • Systems thinker who designs workflows, not just assets.
  • Comfortable enabling others through training, templates, and documentation.
  • Trusted partner to Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Creative teams, PR, Events, and external agencies.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or modern AI-driven discoverability practices.
  • Experience using PathFactory or similar content experience platforms.
  • Prior experience leading designers or managing creative partners.
