Job description

We have openings for Personal, Life or Commercial Lines Insurance Sales Representatives within our agency. The positions offer you endless opportunities within our company, Farmers Insurance and the insurance industry.

A career in the insurance industry is a very fast paced, mentally demanding, and ultimately very rewarding field. If you have current insurance licenses in Tennessee or Georgia you may be surprised to find this is the career for you.We provide flexible work schedules, a Farmers Insurance branded office, intensive training to sell with referral networks to sell to. The position provides a base salary plus a progressive commission schedule based on performance. Average annual compensation during training is $72,000 working full time.

Responsibilities
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
  • Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
  • Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program.
  • Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
  • Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
  • Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote products, services and/or referral programs.

Requirements
  • Current Tennessee or Georgia Insurance License is required.
  • Candidate must complete regular assessments and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Create relationships from a cold start.
  • Prior Sales Experience.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
