Our goal is to assure that our customers are receiving the most comprehensive and competitive programs in terms of cost, coverage and service.JGS is growing rapidly and as a result has an opportunity for a new Claims Representative in the PPP Department. Our new office in Bell Works truly reflects an innovative and exciting environment with state-of-the-art surroundings. Bell Works is the reanimation of Bell Labs into a 'metroburb.' The building is a rapidly evolving two-million-square-foot ecosystem filled with business, dining, culture, and more - all conveniently located in central New Jersey. Bell Works was recently named the most iconic building in the State of New Jersey.Position SummaryAssist brokers with claims handling. Report all claims received from brokers to appropriate carrier. Assist with providing information to and from the carrier in order to expedite claims settlement. Follow up on status of claim until claim is closed. Provide Loss History information to brokers upon request. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSubmit claim reports to carriers the same day notified of the loss.Respond to telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.Consistently conduct business in a courteous and professional manner when interacting with clients or third parties.Contact carriers to follow up on status of commercial claims and provide assistance with expediting claim settlements.Promptly provide appropriate information when responding to status requests from brokers regarding their clients' claims. Assist clients (Brokers) and company personnel with all claims related matters.Follow agency procedures for commercial claim handling including processing and settlement.Follow up as necessary with carriers for claim reserves and closing amounts; and update our agency management system (AMS360/ImageRight) to reflect latest updates.Update (AMS360/ImageRight) to reflect latest claim information received monthly from our carrier's report.Notify Underwriters of large or fatality claims including reserves pending on their accounts, with a cc to management.Upon receipt of summons and suits, forward immediately to carrier.Build working relationships with carriers' claims representatives, underwriters, and managers.Document in the agency management system all conversations with clients and/or carriers pertaining to coverages and exposures including all related documentation.Record new claims in the Claims Log in Quip.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. ExperienceAt least 3-5 years of experience working as a commercial claims representative at an insurance agency or for a carrier.Valid NJ license for commercial lines of insurance involved preferred. Education and KnowledgeTeam player who is a self-starter with excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.Have a thorough technical understanding of all commercial insurance coverages and claim procedures.Good organizational skills, prioritizing and attention to detail Possess excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of insurance management systems and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
