Business Systems Administrator - Insurance Technology and Systems Administration - Base Salary to 100k/year - Anaheim, CA

  • Our client, a growing and established property and casualty insurance organization, is seeking a Business Systems Administrator to join their team in Anaheim, CA. This position plays a key role in supporting and enhancing critical insurance business systems while partnering with internal stakeholders and external technology vendors to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable operations.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an IT operations, business systems, or application support professional with experience supporting insurance technology platforms and enterprise business applications. A hybrid work schedule is available following the initial onboarding period.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and support core insurance and enterprise business systems to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
  • Manage system enhancements, configuration changes, and project change requests while coordinating with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, issue tracking, and validation of system enhancements.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software, application, and system incidents while documenting resolutions and maintaining operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with external technology providers and managed service partners to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with system integrations and business process improvements designed to increase operational efficiency.
  • Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and system administration records.
  • Support security initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and regulatory requirements, including CCPA, NYDFS, and related standards.
  • Participate in incident response, issue escalation, and ongoing operational support activities.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, application support, business systems administration, or system management, or 3+ years of experience within the insurance industry.
  • Experience supporting core insurance platforms or business-critical insurance applications such as Assure Policy, Assure Claims, Sapiens, Guidewire Insurance Suite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter), Duck Creek Suite, Majesco P&C Core Suite, or similar insurance administration systems.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, incident management, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors, technology partners, or managed service providers.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, information security, regulatory compliance, and system governance practices.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong software troubleshooting, problem resolution, and root cause analysis skills.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k - 100k/year range.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with 100% employee coverage and 50% dependent coverage paid by the company.
  • 13 paid holidays.

  • Hybrid work schedule available after 90 days.
