Job description

* Toronto and Brampton * Independent, autonomous role * Plenty of advancement opportunities * Chance to work on new, large-scale projects   We’re Bot Construction Group (http://www.botconstruction.ca/) . For over half a century, we’ve been building Canada’s infrastructure. Think about the roads, highways, and bridges that you travel on each day – chances are, we’ve been part of their construction.   Primarily, your focus will involve generating lines/elevations/grades for our new project on highway 410. Using your expertise with a range of modeling software (primarily AutoCAD), you’ll ensure accurate site maps that will allow construction to proceed seamlessly.   Your tasks will include:   * Provide working lines and elevations to assist with the construction of roads and structures * Verify tolerances and dimensions for QVE certification * Perform topographic and cross section survey for baseline measurement and payment quantities * Employ survey techniques to check and record as-built conditions * Create digital terrain models from designed profiles and cross sections * Calculate grading and stockpile volumes * Review/document survey work * Coordinate with project team during construction   You’ll be joining a team of about 30 people on our new site. Alongside other engineers and technical professionals, you’ll be making a major impact on this project, and on the people using Ontario’s highways. If this sounds exciting to you, then we want to meet you.   Qualifications   * 5+ years’ progressive experience in high precision surveying techniques for major bridge and highway infrastructure construction * Degree/diploma in engineering or survey technology * Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, proficiency in Power Inroads, Terramodel, and MS Office (especially Excel) * Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of topographic survey and construction layout  * Experience calculating and transposing design alignment for survey instrumentation * Proficiency in in geometric control and tolerance measurement * Proficiency with Trimble and Topcon surveying equipment, handling Total Station for geodetic networks, and GPS and RTK post-processing techniques * Demonstrated ability to manage project survey functions and coordinate with construction plan needs    How to Apply   Our online application gives you the chance to apply as more than just a resume.
