House Business Unit Insurance Service Specialist
Our firm is rapidly growing and we are seeking a self-motivated person who wants to join a dynamic, growing company. We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position in Louisville, KY. Our House Business Unit (HBU) Insurance Service Specialist will be responsible for work with the HBU team and Team Leader on a variety of business types including but not limited to Retail, Construction, Technology, Non-for-Profits, and Real Estate and providing exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects when they call in for assistance. Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is not required but would be a greater benefit relating to clients in the beginning for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Support HBU Team in the onboarding of new clients by gathering required information, assisting with coverage setup, and assist in the quoting, policy issuance, renewal, and billing processes by learning and utilizing carrier quoting systems and agency workflows.
  • Process day‑to‑day client service requests, including endorsements, policy changes, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, schedules, and renewal updates accurately, submitting claims; all in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients by promptly and professionally responding to phone calls and emails while delivering high‑quality client service.
  • Maintain accurate, organized electronic client files in accordance with agency procedures, including documenting all communications, policy details, and transactions in the agency management system (EPIC).
  • Process incoming mail and emails, ensuring all related documents are properly indexed to the correct client account.
  • Learn the quoting systems of the various insurance companies utilized to complete quoting, renewal assembly, billing, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service workflows, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency within the team.

Requirements
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multi‐task and handle heavy workload with minimal supervision; able to self-check for accuracy; and independently research and analyze.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines and working with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others (clients, colleagues, carrier partners) to explain complex issues, interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
  • Working knowledge of Excel to create, navigate and manipulate reports, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft E‐mail applications.
  • Ability to step beyond the basics of the technologies we use to find better ways to utilize them and train others to learn those practices.
  • An understanding of insurance products and a current license from the State of Kentucky.
