OR Circulator Registered Nurse

Join Our Team as an Operating Room Circulator RN

Position Overview: As an Operating Room Circulator RN, you will play a crucial role in our surgical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety throughout the perioperative process. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional surgical outcomes. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the operating room and ensuring all equipment is sterile and functional
  • Assessing patients before surgery and ensuring proper positioning on the operating table
  • Communicating effectively with the surgical team throughout procedures
  • Advocating for patient safety and comfort at all times
  • Monitoring patient vital signs and responses to surgery
  • Administering medications as directed by the surgical team
  • Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with patient transport to and from the operating room

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in CA
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Circulating Nurse in an operating room setting
  • BLS, PALS and ACLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing care principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Compensation and Benefits: This position pays a competitive rate of $63.00-89.00 per hour depending on the level of experience. We offer a full suite of benefits including 401k with company match, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as voluntary Aflac plans. We have a generous PTO schedule and our staff enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule.
