Job description

Rural Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance District Sales Manager to join our team. This strategic position offers an exciting opportunity for a successful property/casualty and life insurance sales professional with a passion for mentoring and developing talent. You will work closely with our Director of Sales and Regional District Sales Managers to lead and enhance our agent onboarding and training programs.

Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000 + bonus - company vehicle and complete benefit package


Responsibilities:
  • Be the point of contact for new agents who have completed their 90-day training programs with Rural Mutual Insurance Company.
  • Attend sales meetings with agents, provide sales coaching and development guidance, and collaborate with the agents to complete needs-based sales.
  • Work with agents, District Sales Managers, and other departments, to meet specific training objectives in a timely fashion, and ensure successful progression to sales agent.
  • Utilizing in-person and virtual formats, provide weekly instruction on sales skills, product knowledge, and other content both in an individual and group setting.
  • Provide weekly agent progress reports.
  • Partner with District Sales Managers to ensure agents' successful transition to field sales.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and implement new agent training classes and modules in partnership with sales leadership and curriculum development teams with an eye to continuous improvement.
  • Team up with District Sales Managers in proactive recruitment of sales agents through job fairs and other recruiting activities.



Qualifications:

 Experience, Education & Licensing:

  • Proven track record of exceeding goals in property/casualty and/or life insurance sales roles.
  • Prior leadership or management experience, especially with recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Property & Casualty insurance sales license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience in agency ownership, insurance distribution management, or business-driven roles is a strong plus.
  • Experience in agribusiness or familiarity with the farming community is a plus.
