Job description

Commercial Lines Account Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a complex and diverse portfolio of mid-market to large commercial accounts while delivering high-level client service and insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial accounts while building and maintaining long-term client relationships through responsive and high-quality service. Conduct renewal strategy meetings and mid-year reviews to assess coverage needs and risk management strategies.

Policy Servicing & Administration
Manage policy renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations. Prepare and present renewal proposals and marketing submissions. Handle certificates of insurance, binders, and policy delivery while resolving billing inquiries, coverage questions, and claim-related service issues.

Marketing & Carrier Coordination
Market new and renewal business to insurance carriers. Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with underwriters to provide the best solutions for clients while maintaining strong relationships with carrier partners and staying updated on program availability and underwriting appetite.

Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier guidelines, and applicable insurance regulations. Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and correspondence within the agency management system.

Team Collaboration & Leadership
Mentor junior account managers or assistants when needed. Collaborate with producers, claims specialists, and internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience while participating in agency growth initiatives and training programs.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management.
Active Property & Casualty License required.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products including General Liability, Property, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella, and Professional Liability.
Experience with Agency Management Systems (Applied EPIC, AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
