About the Role
DoorDash is seeking a Manager, Insurance Claims Operations to help lead the next generation of claims operations.
This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, implement AI-enabled solutions, modernize workflows, and support the continued evolution of our global claims organization. Working closely with cross-functional partners across Engineering, Product, Legal, Data Science, Actuarial, Quality Assurance and many others. You'll identify opportunities to simplify complex processes, improve automation, and build scalable operational capabilities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic operations leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and is passionate about leveraging technology to transform operational workflows.
This position will report to the Senior Manager, Claims Strategy & Operations, and will be required to go into our Tempe, AZ office on a hybrid schedule.

  • Lead strategic initiatives that improve the scalability, effectiveness, and performance of Insurance Claims Operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
  • Drive operational transformation through process redesign, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop operational strategies that enhance customer experience while improving efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.
  • Lead complex cross-functional programs from concept through implementation, ensuring successful execution across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Build operational governance, reporting, and performance metrics that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with carrier partners, third-party administrators, and internal business teams to strengthen operational partnerships and improve claims outcomes.
  • Influence organizational strategy by identifying opportunities to simplify operations, reduce manual effort, and improve scalability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous learning as Claims Operations continues to evolve.

  • 6+ years leading complex operations (insurance, risk, Trust & Safety, marketplace ops, or program management), with progressive cross-functional leadership.
