The Opportunity:

The Commercial Insurance Associate assists the Account Executive/Commercial Account Advisor with the preparation of information to be submitted to the Marketing Department and/or the Prospect/Client.

Full-Time opportunity working out of one of the following branch locations:

  • Calgary 6712 Fisher Street SE

  • Grande Prairie 9906 106 St #101

What You'll Do:

  • Interacting with Account Executive/Commercial Account Advisor to assist in assembling renewal information or for making changes to policies throughout the year as received from the Account Executive/Commercial Account Advisor

  • Tracking expiry lists for the Account Executive/Commercial Account Advisor

  • Preparing information to be submitted to the Marketers to obtain new quotes, assembling the information into a presentation format for the prospect/client

  • follows up on account receivable to ensure timely invoicing and payment of premium

  • Attend meetings with the Account Executive Commercial Account Advisor, Commercial Multiline Account Executive on new or renewal business when required

What you will bring to the role:

  • Level 1 license is required, with completion of CAIB 1 & 2 strongly preferred

  • Current knowledge in all aspects of commercial property, having a minimum 1 year experience working in commercial insurance

  • Proficient with Microsoft programs and Broker Management Software Systems

  • Ability to multi-task and interact in a professional manner with clients and colleagues

  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move work forward

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal daily direction
