Insurance Recovery Attorney

A national law firm is seeking a litigation associate with 3โ€“7 years of experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Washington, DC. The firm is looking for candidates with either experience or a strong interest in recovery and coverage matters representing policyholders. It offers a collegial environment, excellent advancement opportunities, and a transparent, achievable path to partnership.


Qualified candidates should have substantial experience drafting pleadings, briefs, and motions in state and federal court, as well as discovery experience, including depositions and drafting and arguing discovery motions. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects efficiently, work collaboratively as part of a team, and take ownership of significant projects.


Admission to the DC Bar, or eligibility to apply for admission, is required. The salary range for this 3โ€“7 year associate position is $200,000 to $260,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications and experience. Associates are also eligible for annual bonuses, including a bonus of 15% of base compensation upon meeting the firm's annual billable hours expectation.


Annual Billable Hours Expectation: 1,850 hours (including up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work).
