Summary:

The Project Manager will lead and oversee the Civilian Readiness and Talent Management Support to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower & Reserve Affairs (ASA (M&RA)). This role involves managing the successful delivery coordinating resources, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, workforce training, and government contract execution.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee program to increase readiness of Civilian workforce and develop, implement, and institutionalize Army Civilian talent management across its four core functions – acquire, develop, employ, and retain.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for all personnel assigned to the TO, performance of work, and compliance and quality control.
  • Provide analytic, advisory, management, and administrative support to all activities as necessary.
  • Conduct bi-weekly program reviews with client.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extremely knowledgeable in Army Staff operations including talent management life cycle areas (acquire, develop, employ, and retain)
  • Extensive knowledge of the Army talent management initiatives, strategic planning, workforce development, employee engagement, leadership development, career programs, marketing, graphic design, and data science, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 5 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense. In lieu of a master’s degree, 10 years’ experience supporting the Department of Defense and a bachelor’s degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Travel to Washington, DC and Chicago, IL as required.
