Project Engineer – Potomac Interceptor Program
Location

  • DC Water Clean Rivers Facility (CMF Building), Blue Plains
  • Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
Experience

  • 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience supporting municipal sewer, wastewater, underground utility, or rehabilitation projects
Licensure

  • Maryland or Virginia PE preferred
  • Ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months if not currently licensed
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in delivering large sewer rehabilitation projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate design development and permitting activities.
  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and action items.
  • Provide construction engineering support during project execution.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.
Availability

  • Immediate or within 1–3 months
Compensation

  • Up to $77/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
