Project Manager – Electrical Construction

Locations: Romeoville, IL

About the Opportunity

Bonus Electric is a rapidly growing electrical contractor that has expanded more than eightfold over the past five years and continues to secure major projects across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets. With an expanding project portfolio and strong backlog of awarded work, we are seeking Project Managers at multiple experience levels to support the successful delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects.

Our team works on high-profile projects including data centers, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, commercial office buildings, mixed-use developments, retail spaces, and other complex infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout while making a direct impact within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead multiple electrical construction projects through planning, execution, and completion while ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. This role requires strong leadership, financial management, client communication, and coordination of field and office teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical construction projects from conceptual planning through project closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and reporting
  • Monitor project costs and ensure financial performance aligns with established goals
  • Utilize Procore and other project management tools to support project documentation, change orders, and estimating activities
  • Ensure projects comply with NEC standards and all applicable safety requirements
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders
  • Review project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, or cost impacts
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment to maintain project schedules
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project partners
  • Participate in project meetings and provide leadership throughout all phases of construction
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing electrical construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Field supervision or superintendent work history

Compensation

Opportunities are available for professionals at multiple experience levels:

  • Entry-Level Project Managers: $65,000 – $95,000
  • Mid-Level Project Managers: $115,000 – $145,000
  • Higher-Level Project Managers: $145,000+

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
