Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Location: Memphis, TN
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Person

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager to oversee commercial roofing projects throughout the Knoxville market. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on commercial roofing experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate field teams, subcontractors, customers, vendors, and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial roofing projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and production timelines.
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project resources.
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential budget or scheduling issues.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate production, quality, safety, and overall project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, General Contractors, architects, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage customer expectations and address project concerns or changes as they arise.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, schedules, and records.
  • Provide regular project updates to operations and leadership.
  • Assist with material procurement, deliveries, and coordination to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Manage multiple active projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing project management experience or comparable industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field production.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software; Procore or similar systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Comfortable visiting active construction sites, working at heights, and safely using ladders and elevated access equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
