A Day in the Office Looks Like This:

The Project Manager is skilled and experienced in the management of multiple architectural projects from the design development phase through completion with construction administration. The incumbent will lead each project and coordinate with other staff members, contractors, and consultants with guidance from the Studio Manager and Studio Head. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices to help advance a variety of different projects in the firm. 

  • Manages and coordinates all aspects of various-sized projects from the schematic design phase through construction administration 
  • Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs 
  • Provides management, mentorship, and oversight of a project team, including technical guidance to less experienced team members
  • Responsible for project management and financial performance
  • Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
  • Responsible for identifying services outside of scope
  • Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion to the client's satisfaction
  • Creates agendas, leads meetings, and maintains meeting notes

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

We work in a collaborative, indoor office environment at the top of the historic Meadows Building at Energy Square. This is a great location with quick access to US-75 and the Lovers Lane DART Station practically on site.

Normal work hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 AM Central Monday through Friday with one hour for lunch, but we are flexible if our business and customers' needs remain priority #1. Occasionally, there may be a need to work outside of normal work hours or weekends to meet project deadlines. Some local travel is required. There may be an occasion that requires overnight travel.


Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, operate a keyboard, and communicate clearly and effectively on the phone, in-person, and via written communication.

Must be authorized to work in the US when an offer of employment is accepted. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment verification form (Form I-9) upon hire.

Requirements

  • Professionally accredited BArch or MArch degree required
  • Licensure preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in residential
  • Experienced AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketch-Up user
  • Experience leading a team and managing consultants
  • Proficient with technical detailing
  • Strong sketch and visualization capabilities
