Project Coordinator
Job Description
Location: Durango, CO (On-site) | Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office | Reports To: Preconstruction & Operations Manager Salary Range: $50,000-$75,000 DOE
Position Overview
  • Supports the Project Management team by coordinating smooth project start-ups and providing consistent administrative support throughout each project's lifecycle.
  • Works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other Coordinators to keep projects on schedule and accurately documented.
  • Serves as a key point of contact for subcontract administration, purchase orders, invoicing, and pay applications.

Duties
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Accounting to launch projects on schedule, including prequalification packets, project set-up in project management and accounting software, crew schedules, cost codes, and cost/revenue budgets.
  • Partner with Project Engineers and Project Managers to complete change orders.
  • Partner with Project Managers on subcontracts, cost functions, and pay applications.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and budget updates.
  • Commit subcontracts, file documents, and issue lien waivers.
  • Create purchase orders, and receive and process invoices.
  • Enter change orders and collect and process monthly pay applications.
  • Maintain project management software, update crew schedules, and issue assignment alerts.
  • Attend weekly meetings and provide cross-departmental administrative support as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • At least two years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Procore preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction management or project management software preferred.
  • Understanding of project budgets, including cost and revenue.
  • Knowledge of AP and AR.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this role, as it is essential for understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and participating in team communications.
