Job description

Ignite IT is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team to provide delivery excellence over multiple workstreams in support of the Census and drive business growth and improve customer experiences.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overall program performance and communicates with stakeholdersย regardingย the technical scope and the overall attributes of the programย 
  • Attendsย governmentย meetings and manages contract level deliverables/reportsย 
  • Oversees performance under the contract (quality, risk, budget, schedule, etc.)ย 
  • Initiates and approvesย recruiting, hiring, personnel actions, subcontracting, and other corporate support activities to meetย programย requirementsย 
  • Complies withย programย reporting, delivery, and invoicing requirementsย 
  • Provide overall technical program management and operational oversight forย cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, and enterprise data center operations.
  • Maintain operational awareness of cloud and data center environments, including availability, capacity, performance, security, incidents, maintenance activities, and service health.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of cloud infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, modernization initiatives, and data center refresh activities.
  • Manage and coordinate major incident response, ensuring technical resources are engaged quickly and customers receive timely, accurate status updates.
  • Establish incident communication cadences and ensure stakeholders understand business impact, current status, mitigation actions, risks, and estimated restoration activities.
  • Identifyย and report infrastructure/technical risks, dependencies, capacity constraints, technical debt, and operational weaknesses before they impact mission or customer operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience managing large, complex federal IT programs, including multi-workstream delivery across engineering, operations, security, and data domains
  • MUST have experience with cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, and/or enterprise data center operations
  • Demonstrated experience serving as overall Program Manager on programs with multiple concurrent workstreams and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, scope, and performanceย 
  • Experience managing government performance metrics, including CPARS, SLAs, KPIs, and quality assurance plans.
  • Prior experience supporting the U.S. Census Bureau or other large statistical or civilian agencies preferred
  • Ability to serve as the single accountable point of contact for Government leadership, CORs, COs, and division chiefs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • Located in the Washington DC area and willing to travel to the customer site several days a week as needed
