Finance & Policy Administrator (Insurance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance & Policy Administrator to manage policy documentation, financial transactions, premium processing, and administrative tasks within our insurance operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate data management, support policy issuance, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and maintain financial integrity across all transactions.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of insurance processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities1. Policy Administration

Process new policy applications, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of all policy documents before issuance.

Prepare and send policy schedules, ID cards, and invoices to customers.

Maintain accurate records in CRM and policy management systems.

Handle premium collections, receipts, and reconciliation.

Verify payment details and update financial records.

Assist in preparing daily/weekly/monthly financial reports.

Support finance team with premium payouts, commissions, and settlements.

3. Documentation & Compliance

Validate KYC documents, proposal forms, and medical reports.

Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal audit requirements.

Assist in maintaining statutory registers and documentation for inspections.

Keep track of pending documents and follow up with customers or teams.

4. Customer Support

Assist customers with policy-related queries (premium, coverage, endorsements).

Guide customers regarding missing documents, payment issues, and policy updates.

Coordinate between underwriting, sales, claims, and finance teams for faster resolution.

5. Reporting & Data Management

Prepare reconciliation reports, premium statements, and policy summaries.

Maintain accurate data logs for policies issued, renewed, or cancelled.

Generate MIS reports for management review and internal audits.

6. Cross-Department Coordination

Coordinate with sales teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and payment follow-up.

Work with claims teams to verify policy details and support claim settlements.

Assist finance with monthly closing and data verification.

Strong knowledge of insurance operations and financial processes

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Good communication and customer handling skills

Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and CRM tools

Ability to multitask and work under deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of IRDAI compliance guidelines (preferred)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field

1–3 years of experience in insurance administration, finance, or policy servicing

Freshers with strong accounting and administrative skills may also apply

Experience with TPA, insurer, or brokerage is an added advantage
