Job Overview

Position Title: Photographer (Seasonal)
Location: Henderson, KY 42420 (also Evansville, IN and surrounding area)
Hours: 1st Shift, 8‑10 hrs per day, 8‑40 hrs per week, based on school schedules
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Travel: Daily travel across territory, mileage and drive time reimbursed with bonus opportunities

Inter‑State Studio & Publishing Co. is a family‑owned school photography and yearbook company that has served schools for 90 years, providing high‑quality portraits and yearbooks with affordable pricing and excellent service.

Position Overview

As an Inter‑State Studio Photographer you will set up provided equipment, pose, and photograph students and staff on‑site at schools. The role combines technical photography skills with strong interpersonal communication to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate photography equipment on school premises.
  • Pose students, staff, and volunteers for portrait sessions.
  • Capture and process images in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Adhere to school schedules, including early morning start times and sessions lasting 8‑10 hours.
  • Travel up to two hours one‑way, with insurance coverage and valid driving license.
  • Assist with post‑shoot organization and inventory of images.
Schedule & Flexibility

Workdays vary based on school calendars, generally during the school year with time off during summer and winter breaks. Friday and Saturday sessions may occur. The company offers flexibility in scheduling when days off are needed and accommodates time‑off requests.
