Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company (GTL)ย is currently seeking aย Senior Full Stack Software Developerย to join our team!

This position is required to work on-site in our Omaha-area (Elkhorn, NE) office most days. Everyone receives 3 flexible remote days per month. And, we offer half-day Fridays โ€“ every Friday!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software application solutions tailored to insurance operations, including policy administration, claims processing, explanation of benefits, underwriting, and compliance.
  • Build and optimize applicationsย and software solutions to support insurance business processes.
  • Improve and maintain our core insurance platforms and proprietary systems using APIs and web services.
  • Ensure secure and compliant handling of sensitive insurance documents and data.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing software applications.
  • Maintain technical documentation and participate in system upgrades and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with other technology colleagues to understand application needs and devise possible solutions.
  • Lead cross-training with colleagues on application enhancements and new solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software development.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional working experience with software application solutions.
  • Demonstrated solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles, with a track record of developing high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, while exhibiting high enthusiasm to tackle complex challenges in application development and deployment.
  • Strong software engineering foundation with a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Proven ability to stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art techniques through continuous research and application.
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to evolving project scopes.
  • Passionate about creating intuitive technology solutions and a continuous desire to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Proficiency in .NET (C# or VB.NET), SQL, SQL Server, and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with insurance operations and terminology (e.g., policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive understanding of databases (SQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (TFS,Git/GitHub).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lifepro(EXL) Application Knowledge.
  • Experience integrating with insurance systems like LifePro and/or Salesforce.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Web/Mobile Development skills.
  • Insurance industry knowledge.

The pay range for this role is $105,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

The pay range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects potential pay for the job grade for this role at the time of this posting. Compensation will depend on several factors such as specific competencies, relevant education and experience, qualifications, and industry certifications. Compensation ranges are subject to change and may be higher or lower than the range described above.
