Great American Custom, an underwriting division of Great American Insurance Group, dedicates itself to serving client needs and delivering outstanding service. We specialize in providing primary casualty products as well as umbrella and capacity excess products that meet the needs of the commercial market. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Examines and processes new insurance policies, complex renewals, endorsements, and cancellations using various systems.
  • Enters or loads data into appropriate systems and researches and resolves data errors.
  • Generates and distributes policy documents, certificates of insurance, and other related materials.
  • Organizes, prepares, and updates reports. Determines and adjusts billing status as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred)
  • Great American's culture is built on connection shared learning and strong relationships. To Support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site at our Downtown Los Angeles office four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday - Thursday, with fourth day determined by business needs.

Experience:
  • Generally, a minimum of 6 years of experience in insurance operations or customer service. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Property/Casualty Insurance license.
  • Knowledge in Excess and Primary line of business.

Scope of Job/Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal insurance-related policies.
  • Advanced analytical and organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization.
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance data processing systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical, organizational skills, team player and detail oriented.
  • May provide training, guidance and assistance to lower-level positions.
