Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | Direct Hire | Behavioral Health & Substance Use Care

We are seeking a mission-driven Psychiatry Medical Director to provide visionary leadership at our dedicated behavioral health and substance use facility in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for a physician committed to advancing integrated psychiatric care and supporting a high-performing clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical operations and ensure excellence in patient care
  • Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including Title 36, detox protocols, and involuntary holds
  • Participate in the development and oversight of individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care
  • Participate in phone-based on-call coverage
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture grounded in quality and compassion
  • Stay current through CME and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Active DEA license
  • Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical practice
  • 3+ years of leadership or medical director experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Title 36, medical detox, and involuntary psychiatric care
  • Exceptional communication, team leadership, and decision-making skills
