Loss Prevention Specialist

THE POSITION:

As a TL of Loss Prevention, you will:

  • Awareness & Prevention:
    • Communicates, trains, and educates security and loss prevention programs and strategies.
    • Ensures and provides open and honest communication that encourages that all team members do not place themselves, donors or customers in harmโ€™s way
    • Communicates and supports Goodwillโ€™s drug-free workplace, strives for and maintains a positive work environment following Goodwillโ€™s Core Values and Guiding Principles
    • Understands represents Goodwillโ€™s zero tolerance for harassment, substance abuse, workplace violence, failure to report medical incidents (work or non-work related), and theft or other related offenses
    • Supports assessment, creation, and training of loss prevention and asset protection strategies to determine effectiveness and make necessary changes to support business needs.

  • Facility Protection and Corporate Security:
  • Investigates disturbances such as alarm calls, unlawful intrusion/trespass, fires, property damage, and other loss as needed.
  • Assists with integrity and elements of facility physical security system including locks, key control and issuing (including vehicles, fobs/access control, and alarm systems as assigned based on territory.
  • Assists with managing all aspects of key and alarm control access and procedures.
  • Monitors facilities for security, loss prevention, and other operational activities using video surveillance system.

  • Partnership:
  • Partners with stakeholders/ different appropriate department leaders and manages process to ensure that all open cases are closed timely.
  • Monitors and utilizes Loss Prevention Support (LP Support) Helpdesk system to address, triage, and resolves issues and departmental requests in a timely fashion per Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
  • Monitors Digital Video Recording at designated facilities and communicates operational/placement/quality issues.
  • Respond and assist to all critical incidents and emergency response situations including communication, problem solving, and remediation.
  • Training:
  • Ensures 100% customer satisfaction and buy-in while delivering training.
  • Partners in new hire orientation Loss Prevention training and supports Safety training as assigned.
  • Supports Leadership by providing feedback and coaching while on the field.
  • Assist in the developing of Loss Prevention related training courses or content.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to provide one-on-one and group training and knowledge sharing.
  • Effective communication, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team building and business partner in all aspects of the organization
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and interview skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years+: loss prevention/asset protection experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years: CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring technical skills
  • Access Control (Key & Lock Systems / Electronic systems)
  • Relevant Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • LPQ/LPC, Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation, or other certification a plus

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Incumbent must possess a valid driverโ€™s license and be able to drive a privately owned vehicle to travel throughout the Goodwill territory to visit stores and locations, on a regular and recurring basis. Thus, having a privately owned reliable means of transportation is a requirement of this job.
  • Occasionally and only under special circumstances, incumbents may be required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends to meet the needs of the organization.
  • This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing
  • This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems
