The Technical Associate is responsible for restaurant technology installations and post-sales support. This role will interface with both restaurants and customers to optimize Chowbus' service in the local markets where we operate. This operations-driven role will manage partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally across the business. 

What You'll Focus On

  • Collaborate with the menu team to accurately set up and configure the restaurant's menu before installation, and assist with menu-related requests as needed post-installation.
  • Ensure network setup and verification are completed prior to hardware installation.
  • Install, configure, and provide training on Chowbus products, including hardware and networking devices such as terminals, kiosks, handhelds, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Standby on-site for a designated period after installation to monitor POS system performance and address any arising issues.
  • Using appropriate judgment, independently order of steps to take during implementation based on restaurant needs, and menu design options.
  • Collaborate with central operations, product, and engineering teams to drive adoption of new products, processes, and plans locally.

What You Bring

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin required. Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese or other second languages will be considered.
  • Prior customer services experience or customer facing experience is required
  • 1+ years of software operations and hardware installation experience is highly preferred
  • Prior startup experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Working Conditions
  • Proficient in operating computers for system setup and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and reach overhead while installing and assembling electronic devices.
  • Comfortable using ladders or lifts for network cable installation.
  • Skilled in operating lifts for equipment setup.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, including POS terminals, receipt printers, cash drawers, and network equipment.
  • Awareness of potential slip and trip hazards in the work environment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and travel to restaurant client locations as needed.
  • Available for on-call assignments based on business needs.
