Job description

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Lower/Middle School Spanish Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in Park City, UT.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach several Spanish courses for lower or middle school students.
  • Teach Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
  • Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish and improve pronunciation and comprehension.
  • Teaching students about Spanish culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, and dress, and social conventions.
  • Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.


Spanish Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.
  • At least 3 years of previous teaching experience.
  • No teaching license or credential is required.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community.
  • Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.


Additional Desired Qualities:

  • Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
