Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Medical License (Required).
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Language: Must be bilingual in Spanish (Required).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management. Comfort with hybrid/telepsychiatry modalities.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (Spanish/English), cultural competence, empathy, strong clinical judgment, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care to patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy.
  • Conduct hybrid sessions, including both in-person and telehealth appointments.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists within the multi-specialty practice.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
  • Provide culturally competent care to Spanish-speaking patients.
