Position Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support and optimize our core financial systems. This role acts as the critical link between our Finance/Accounting departments and IT, focusing on the enhancement and support of our SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge of financial processes and the technical expertise to configure and improve the SAP system to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Work directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for financial system projects, enhancements, and reports.
  • System Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration in SAP FI (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing) to meet business needs.
  • Financial Process Support: Provide critical system support during key financial periods, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current financial processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and improvement through system-based solutions.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Design and develop financial reports and queries to support business analysis and decision-making.
  • Support & Training: Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP FI/CO, providing daily support, troubleshooting issues, and delivering training to finance and accounting personnel.
Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or SAP consultant with a focus on FI/CO modules. A solid understanding of core accounting principles and corporate finance business processes. Experience working on the integration points between FI/CO and other SAP ECC 6 modules (e.g., MM, SD). Excellent ability to think logically and independently to solve complex problems in the finance systems area. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex system concepts to non-technical business users.
