RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Represent insurance companies, policyholders, and businesses in lawsuits involving various types of claims, including bodily injury, property damage, and other liability issues
  • Handle all phases of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations and discovery to trial and post-trial motions
  • Manage case strategy, conduct depositions, and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery requests
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case arguments, review policy language, and interpret relevant statutes and case law
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on case status, strategy, and outcomes
  • Offer sound legal advice tailored to each case
  • Evaluate cases for potential settlement opportunities and negotiate settlements when appropriate, ensuring that the clientโ€™s best interests are prioritized
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials
  • Provide expert advocacy in both written and oral form
  • Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure the efficient management of cases and timely completion of tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Juris Doctor and Texas Bar License required
  • 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Clio
COMPENSATION
  • This opportunity offers a salary of $130,000-$155,000 annually
