Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will be part of a Data Strategy team leading a major Digital Transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will support the design and development of a strategic data platform on the Azure Cloud Platform, focusing on establishing a reference data system for securities and pricing data. This position requires a full stack developer with extensive experience in Python/PySpark and Azure cloud services. Responsibilities: Actively participate in the development of a strategic data platform in close coordination with the client team Contribute to the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, later expanding to other data domains Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team Implement solutions on the Azure Cloud Platform as part of a broker-dealer and swap-dealer entity Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience as a full stack Python/PySpark developer Proven experience as a Data Engineer with experience in Azure cloud Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway management, and Azure Functions Well versed with Azure Databricks Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc.) and CI/CD processes Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes Desired skills: Experience in the financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes, and market data are a plus Pay range: up to $78.18 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
