Belcan is seeking a full-time Aerospace/Mechanical Analytics Engineer in West Palm Beach, FL. This role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor"s degree in engineering with an emphasis on data analysis and programming. In this position, you will work with large volumes of data to cleanse, organize, analyze, and present findings through reports and interactive dashboards. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve problems, identify trends, and drive data-informed solutions. This opportunity is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about developing custom code solutions to manage complex datasets, enjoy analytical problem-solving, and thrive in a collaborative technical environment.
Job Duties:
โ€ข Develop solutions to perform data cleansing, validation and transformation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
โ€ข Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to translate complex aerospace requirements into technical data solutions.
โ€ข Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
โ€ข Write and optimize database queries for data extraction and reporting.
โ€ข Support ETL processes and data integration workflows and pipelines.
โ€ข Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
โ€ข Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data sources and business rules.
โ€ข Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data analytics and reporting systems.
Required Qualifications:
โ€ข BS or MS degree in Engineering with relevant focus.
โ€ข Experience with basic code development in Python, C#, or C++. Matlab experience is a plus
โ€ข Basic working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Experience with NoSQL is a plus.
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; adaptable, highly organized with excellent communication abilities.
โ€ข Zero through 2+ years of work experience. We have multiple projects of varying skill levels.
โ€ข Basic proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Qlik or Tableau.
โ€ข Skilled with Microsoft Office tools.
โ€ข Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
โ€ข Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required: Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
โ€ข Any experience with Informatica Developer, Informatica Analyst or Axon is a plus.
โ€ข Familiarity with data modeling and analyzing large sets of data from different sources
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary range of $70,720 to $79,040. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
