Job Overview:

The Equipment Specialist II supports PM ICO programs at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia. Working under established procedures and with senior guidance, this position helps maintain accurate logistics, supply-chain, and equipment data that supports system readiness throughout the acquisition life cycle.


Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned logistics and asset-management tasks with increasing independence; escalate complex discrepancies and technical issues to senior personnel.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret equipment-specific and supply-chain data to support life-cycle management decisions.
  • Participate in provisioning conferences, installation assessments, task analysis, training-development efforts, and systems-engineering events.
  • Develop, review, and update technical artifacts and logistics documentation in CATALYST and the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS).
  • Support supply-chain management requests, warranty support procedures, engineering change proposal reviews, integrated master schedules, risk reports, and logistics products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records for Government Furnished Property, spare parts, and equipment sent to or from Fleet Marine Force and OEM locations for repair or calibration.
  • Extract and analyze reports from GCSS-MC, TDM-Catalyst, and L-DART; identify discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
  • Coordinate calibration activities and support detailed pre-fielding inventories, including documentation of components not delivered with a system.
  • Support timely responses to field requests, generally within 72 hours, and maintain required access to SIPRNet and other approved systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or higher education credential.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Equipment Specialist, Logistics Analyst, maintenance technician, or in a related technical role.
  • Working knowledge of military or industrial equipment, technical manuals, and provisioning documentation.
  • Ability to use logistics or supply-chain management systems and to analyze technical data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to participate effectively in technical meetings.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card and required system accounts.

Preferred Requirements/Education:

  • Hands-on experience with GCSS-MC, CATALYST, TFSMS, L-DART, FLIS, or comparable logistics systems.
  • Previous military logistics, maintenance, or equipment-specialist experience.
  • Associate degree in logistics, a technical field, or a related discipline.
