The Role

We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented Data Analyst to support financial, marketing, and product analytics across Wag! and Maxbone. This is a high impact role designed for someone 3 to 5 years into their analytics career who wants to build broad, hands-on fluency across the business - from revenue and reconciliation work with Finance, to campaign and funnel analysis with Marketing, to usage and engagement metrics with Product - before moving into a more specialized or senior analytics track. You'll turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into recommendations that stakeholders across the company act on. This role is full-time and in-person in Miami, FL.

What You'll Do

Financial Analytics

  • Support recurring financial reporting, revenue reconciliations, and budget-vs-actual analysis in partnership with Finance and Accounting
  • Validate and reconcile data across billing, payments, and internal systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Help maintain documentation of data sources, definitions, and methodologies used in financial reporting

Marketing & Product Analytics

  • Analyze marketing campaign performance (acquisition, conversion, channel ROI) and build recurring reporting for the Marketing team
  • Track product usage, engagement, and funnel metrics, partnering with Product to surface trends and opportunities
  • Identify patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement across marketing and product data

Core Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal systems
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations for Finance, Marketing, and Product stakeholders
  • Interpret data using statistical techniques and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to catch and correct errors

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, financial analysis, marketing analytics, or business intelligence (internships and co-ops count)
  • Working proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Foundational understanding of data integrity, reconciliations, and quality control practices
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Actively use AI and emerging tools to improve workflows and productivity
  • Strong sense of ownership and eagerness to grow into a more senior analytics or data science role over time

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to financial reporting or accounting concepts
  • Familiarity with Redash or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience or coursework in marketing or product analytics
  • Interest in consumer marketplaces, two-sided platforms, or pet/consumer wellness
  • Background in tech or premium consumer goods

Growth Path

This role is a launchpad. Strong performers build the technical range (SQL, experimentation, cross-functional influence) and business context needed to progress toward more senior analytics roles - deepening into a specific domain (finance, marketing, or product analytics) or broadening toward a generalist analytics leadership track.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Monthly Parking on-site at Miami Office, paid for by the Company
  • Catered breakfast and lunch 5-days a week
  • Monthly Wellness Stipend, and credits for both Wag! and Maxbone
  • Life Insurance and Short- and Long-term Disability with Guardian
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Empower and employer match as defined by plan
  • 11 company-paid holidays each year
  • Vacation Days: You'll have unlimited discretionary time off in accordance with the vacation policy outlined in our handbook and subject to your manager's approval.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Employees are eligible for paid parental leave, up to 8 weeks for non-birthing parents and 14-16 weeks for birthing parents
