Overview

Physicians Mutual is seeking a Pre-Need Coordinator to serve as the primary operational point of contact for strategic pre-need partners. In this role, you will support agent onboarding, licensing, contracting, and commissions processes while ensuring a seamless experience for partners and their agents. You'll collaborate across internal teams and external organizations to drive agent readiness, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with partner requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison for pre-need partners, managing relationships, handling escalations, and ensuring a seamless operational experience
  • Oversee agent onboarding and readiness, ensuring proper licensing, contracting, and appointment prior to selling
  • Manage onboarding pipelines, resolve delays, and track readiness metrics to support timely agent activation
  • Ensure accurate commission setup and partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and compensation issues
  • Coordinate across Licensing, Contracting, Commissions, and Operations to align priorities and execute partner requirements
  • Communicate updates, issues, and timelines to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Identify process improvements, resolve recurring issues, and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in licensing, contracting, commissions, or insurance operations
  • Experience supporting agent onboarding and working with external partners preferred
  • Strong understanding of licensing, contracting, and commission processes
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • High attention to detail, especially with compensation-related information
  • Proficiency with Excel and workflow or case management systems
