Job description

Fire Sprinkler Technician

Our client is a well-established life safety company with more than twenty years of experience providing comprehensive fire protection services. With multiple office locations and technicians of varying skill levels and specialties, our client strives to be the single source for all life safety needs, including inspections, repairs, and installations.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join their team. This is a full-time field-based position responsible for performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler systems.

Position ResponsibilitiesInspections & Testing
  • Perform system inspections and testing on wet and dry fire sprinkler systems.

  • Conduct quarterly inspections, annual inspections, and 5-year internal inspections in accordance with State and NFPA codes.

  • Perform visual inspections of sprinkler heads and associated system components.

  • Test mechanical components of sprinkler risers and related equipment.

  • Accurately complete and submit all required inspection reports and documentation.

Repairs & Maintenance
  • Replace sprinkler heads as needed.

  • Collect sprinkler head samples for testing.

  • Diagnose and repair leaks on wet and dry sprinkler systems.

  • Install or modify sprinkler piping to correct coverage deficiencies.

  • Troubleshoot and repair system deficiencies while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with fire sprinkler systems.

  • Experience inspecting, testing, and repairing wet and dry sprinkler systems.

  • Knowledge of applicable State and NFPA codes and standards.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

  • A Vermont Sprinkler TQP License is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant work experience.
