Job description

Farmers Insurance Agency | El Dorado, Kansas

We are an independently owned insurance agency specializing in Property Casualty (PC) and Life Health (LH) insurance, and we are looking for a motivated, outgoing, and sales-driven professional to join our team as a Sales Producer.

We are one of the top-performing Farmers Insurance agencies in Kansas and a top 1% agency nationwide, and we're looking for someone who wants to learn from a high-performing team and build a real career in insurance.

If you're competitive, great with people, goal-oriented, and someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, this could be a great fit. We will pay for your insurance licensing if you don't already have it and provide the training and support needed to help you become successful.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

Driving Sales Building Relationships: You’ll be responsible for generating new business, working with cold, warm, and hot leads, following up with prospects, and helping customers find coverage that actually fits their needs. Your goal will be to grow the agency’s client base.

Networking Community Engagement: Insurance is a relationship business. You’ll build relationships through networking, community events, referrals, and everyday conversations. You’ll become a trusted resource for clients, prospects, and people throughout the community.

Cross-Selling Identifying Client Needs: Our clients have more than one insurance need. You’ll identify opportunities to help existing Property Casualty clients with Life Health coverage and vice versa. This is about understanding the client and finding solutions, not simply pushing products.

Learning Becoming an Insurance Expert: You don't need to know everything about insurance when you walk through the door. We’ll help you develop the product knowledge, quoting skills, sales skills, and insurance expertise needed to confidently advise clients.

Collaborative Team Environment: While you’ll have the independence to manage your own sales and relationships, you’ll also be part of a tight-knit team. We have a business feel where collaboration, coaching, and support from the agency owner and team are a major part of your success, and we expect you to lean into that.

Agency Growth Success: As a Sales Producer, you’ll directly contribute to the continued growth of one of the top-performing agencies in the country. Your success will have a direct impact on the agency — and your own career.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Sales Experience: Insurance experience is great, but it isn't required. We’re interested in people who have experience in sales, customer-facing roles, business development, hospitality, recruiting, or other relationship-driven environments.

Self-Starter with a Team Mindset: You should be motivated to achieve your own goals while also being someone who enjoys working with and supporting a team.

Strong Communicator: You’ll need to be comfortable talking to people, asking questions, building rapport, and explaining insurance in a way that actually makes sense.

• Competitive Goal-Oriented: We’re looking for someone who wants to win. You should enjoy setting goals, tracking your progress, and pushing yourself to get better.

Coachability: You don't need to know everything on Day 1. You do need to be willing to learn, take feedback, and continuously improve.

Tech-Savvy Organized: Comfort with CRM systems, digital communication, quoting platforms, and other technology will help you succeed in this role.

*To be considered for this role, you MUST complete the personality assessment attached to this application.

*You will be required to pass a Background Check.

*Licensing process will require you to obtain a tax clearance.
