Salesforce is looking for a Senior Risk Manager, Insurance to lead and build out our global corporate insurance function to take this function to the next level with the latest AI and quantitative tools. You will own the full lifecycle of Salesforce's insurance programs - from risk quantification and financing strategy to renewals, claims, and policy governance - protecting our balance sheet as we scale across products, infrastructure, and global markets.

In this visible and exciting role, the Senior Risk Manager, will partner and collaborate across many functions at all levels of the organization in Finance, Legal, Sales, Real Estate and Employee Success. The Senior Risk Manager is a trusted advisor as the insurance subject matter expert and advises on potential risks and coverage requirements for company initiatives.

In close collaboration with the Senior Director, Risk Management, you will champion key initiatives to elevate our risk management function, architecting scalable systems, processes, and policies that enable the business to grow with confidence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment, excels at working independently, and operates with a high sense of urgency across diverse business functions.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Manage day-to-day operations of corporate risk management function including contracts risk management, claims management, policy administration and compliance.

  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize various global insurance programs spanning Technology Errors & Omissions and Cyber, Directors and Officers, Property, General Liability, and International lines, using data-driven analysis to determine optimal risk retention and transfer strategies.

  • Lead annual renewal negotiations, market submissions, and broker performance management, while assessing coverage implications of new products, acquisitions, and international expansion.

  • Lead integration of mergers and acquisitions into global insurance programs by evaluating and securing appropriate coverage, providing post acquisition integration support and ongoing claims management.

  • Build and scale the insurance risk management function: establish policies, governance frameworks, claims management processes, and cross-functional playbooks that grow with the business.

  • Collaborate and work effectively on cross-functional teams with Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate, Health & Safety and Corporate Security on various risk management programs and initiatives including development of policies and playbooks.

  • Lead and champion strategic cross-functional initiatives, including the development of robust business continuity frameworks, the integration of AI-driven finance automation, and the implementation of scalable process improvements to drive operational excellence.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate business processes including reporting, analysis and dashboards.

  • Commercial contract review and negotiation including real estate leases and construction contracts. Review complex contracts and propose insurance terms. Develop and manage insurance negotiation guidelines and contract playbooks.

  • Deliver clear, quantitative reporting on coverage adequacy, claims trends, risk financing costs, and program performance to Finance leadership and senior stakeholders.

  • You bring 10+ years of progressive corporate insurance experience, including hands-on management of complex, multinational insurance programs.

  • You have deep technical expertise in risk financing structures - including loss-sensitive programs, captive insurance, and risk transfer analysis - and apply quantitative methods to drive coverage and retention decisions.

  • You are a strong communicator who can translate complex insurance concepts into clear recommendations for Finance, Legal, and executive audiences, and build trusted partnerships across functions.

  • You possess a strong background in quantitative analysis and project management, with a proven ability to lead AI-driven initiatives that modernize and automate risk management processes.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
