Job description

Job Summary:

At Koala Insulation of Kansas City, we are looking for a motivated, skilled individual to join our growing team. Experienced insulation installers will be highly considered, but training will be provided for those that don't have insulation experience. This position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality insulation services in attics and crawlspaces. Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving history. This position will require ability to be added to company insurance as a driver and will drive company trucks and tow trailers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws.
  • Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations.
  • Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job.
  • Follows standard operation procedures with equipment set up and operation.
  • Job site prep & cleanup.
  • Loading/unloading trucks/trailers.
  • Equipment operation.
  • Insulation Installation.
  • Completes a high quality job while maintaining efficiency.
  • Diagnoses and resolves issues in the field.
  • Communicates professionally with customers.
  • Maintains a professional image and thoroughly cleans jobsite upon completion of the job.
  • Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Provides instruction and training to junior team members.
  • Communicates any issues to leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license (must pass MVR screening).
  • Must have great work ethic.
  • Must be polite.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must provide positive professional references.
  • Must come to work everyday with a great attitude.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience installing insulation (blown-in, batt, removal, or spray foam).
  • Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.

*Compensation commensurate with skills and experience.
