The Garage Door Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining garage door systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role works directly with customers and team members to complete projects, troubleshoot issues, and deliver a positive customer experience from installation through service and completion.
This position serves customers across Clarksville and surrounding Tennessee and Kentucky communities with an approximate 60-mile service area. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of garage door systems .
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, and related equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment used for garage door installation and service.
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting established quality, productivity, and safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and proactively identify and address job-site hazards.
  • Read and follow work orders, measurements, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure accurate project completion.
  • Properly handle, transport, stage, and install garage doors, openers, hardware, and related materials while minimizing waste and damage.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, answer questions, and address routine concerns throughout the installation or service process.
  • Identify additional service needs or opportunities and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor or sales team.
  • Complete accurate job documentation, including work performed, materials used, measurements, photos, and service notes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, vehicles, tools, and work areas while collaborating with supervisors, dispatch, sales, and other technicians.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in garage door operations, construction, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, service calls, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
  • 1+ years of experience in the garage door industry or similar trade (overhead doors, construction, home services).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly visit job sites and navigate construction or residential environments.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move materials (garage doors, openers, parts) up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely drive company vehicles between job sites and locations.
