Application Instructions
Chaparral is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician/Insulator to join our team. This position combines electrical and insulation responsibilities, supporting the installation and maintenance of heat trace systems, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial piping. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
Position Description
  • Assemble, install, and maintain electric heat trace systems.
  • Perform electrical calculations to support installations.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings to guide installation.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and assist with the repair of electrical faults and equipment issues.
  • Install insulation on HVAC ducts, pipes, plumbing systems, and industrial piping.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chaparral Insulation Supervisor for installation coordination.
  • Document all work performed and provide progress updates as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and handheld electrical meters effectively and safely.
  • Work outdoors in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures

Position Requirements
  • Basic electrical knowledge required (Licensed Electrician or Journeyman not required).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Experience with electrical meters, hand tools, and power tools.
