Quality Control Inspector Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire ($23-$28/hr)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in metal inspection. The ideal candidate will perform detailed inspections of fabricated components, including first article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections. Candidates must be able to interpret engineering drawings, use standard measurement tools, and identify non-conforming parts. As part of the interview process, applicants will be asked to inspect sample parts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections

  • Inspect materials sent to and received from outside vendors (plating, painting, secondary operations)

  • Verify parts and assemblies match blueprints, specs, and applicable standards

  • Identify and report any non-conforming parts; complete discrepant material reports

  • Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records

  • Ensure measuring equipment is properly calibrated and documented

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to address quality issues

  • Respond to customer and vendor quality inquiries, including RMAs and corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external quality standards

Skills/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with First Article Inspections and standard measuring tools

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or quality engineering is a definite plus

  • Familiarity with Shop Tech, Pro-E CAD, and ISO standards

  • Knowledge of welding, mechanical assemblies, and metal fabrication theory
