Chaparral is seeking a skilled Electric Heat Trace Installer / Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electric Heat Trace Systems for industrial and commercial applications, while also supporting field supervision, coordination, and project execution.
Position Description
• Assemble, install, and maintain electric heat trace systems.
• Perform electrical calculations to support system installations.
• Read and interpret construction drawings to guide installations effectively.
• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and assist with the repair of equipment and electrical faults.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Chaparral Insulation Project Manager/Superintendent for installation coordination.
• Document all work performed and provide progress updates to associated parties.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Work outdoors in various environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Serve in a Superintendent capacity on large projects by overseeing daily field activities, coordinating crews, and ensuring work is executed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Interface with project management, other trades, and client representatives to maintain effective communication and resolve field issues.
• Assist with planning, material coordination, and workforce management to support successful project delivery.
• Provide training as required to craftsmen in the proper installation of heating cable.
Position Requirements
• Bi-Lingual is preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience using handheld electrical meters, hand tools, and power tools effectively and safely.
• Previous experience in a leadership or Superintendent role is preferred.
• Ability to manage crews and coordinate multiple work activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required, including extended durations depending on project needs.
