Insulation Install information

How much does insulation install pay?

Insulation installers typically earn between $15 and $25 per hour, with annual salaries ranging from approximately $30,000 to $50,000 depending on experience, location, and whether they work full-time or part-time. Skilled installers with certifications or specialized tools may earn higher wages, especially in regions with high demand for construction and renovation work.

What license do you need to install insulation?

Insulation installers typically need a state or local contractor's license, which may require passing a trade exam and demonstrating experience. Some regions also require specialized certifications, such as OSHA safety training, to ensure safe work practices. Licensing requirements vary by location, so it is important to check local regulations for specific licensing standards.

What qualifications do you need to install insulation?

Insulation installers typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and should have knowledge of building codes and safety procedures. On-the-job training is common, and some employers prefer candidates with experience using tools like spray foam guns or insulation blowers. Certifications in safety or specific insulation types can enhance job prospects.
