What You'll Do as Part of Our Crew:
As a Marine Insulator, you will:

  • Apply insulation and coverings to piping, machinery, and systems for water, AC, refrigeration, and steam machinery.
  • Insulate bulkheads and overheads using rubber, fiberglass hullboard, fiberglass pipe sections, calcium silicate, fiberglass tape/cloth, adhesives, and Tempmatt.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to execute projects with precision.
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment, such as knives, wire cutters, saws, tape measures, band saws, and stud guns, effectively.
  • Design and install customized insulation systems tailored to specific applications.
  • Apply lagging cloth with accuracy and craftsmanship.

What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Shipyard Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on marine insulation work.
  • Attention to Detail: Expertise with various insulation materials and their applications.
  • Dependability: Reliable transportation and a commitment to being punctual.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in inclement weather, early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Team Spirit: The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Integrity: Ability to pass a background check.
