Install Technician I

Position Type: Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime.

Compensation: $18 per hour plus bonus incentives (will average between $21-$23 per hour. High performers will make more). Potential for additional $175 per week in incentives

Fast Growth Potential: High-performers can advance to Tech 2 or even Crew Lead after 6 months, with earnings potential of $18 per hour + potential for additional $260 per week in incentives for Tech 2 and $23 per hour + potential for additional $850 per week in incentives for Crew Lead

Job Summary:

The Install Technician I is responsible for proficiently installing insulation materials in various structures while ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.

Essential Functions:

These functions are representative, not all-inclusive. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform them.

  • Installation of insulation materials:
    • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas according to blueprints or specifications.
    • Install insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam, or cellulose, in walls, ceilings, floors, and attics.
    • Seal insulation in place using staples, adhesive, or other methods to ensure proper coverage.
    • Install roof vents in attic spaces to ensure proper ventilation.
  • Safety Compliance and Maintenance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while handling insulation materials and equipment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards and facilitate efficient workflow.
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Driving & Vehicle Operation:
    • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all applicable laws and company safety policies.
    • A driver's license is not required for this job but will provide faster growth opportunity to a Crew Lead position if you have one.
    • If eligible, complete all required driver training, maintain eligibility (including a valid license and, when required, a valid DOT Medical Certificate), and operate vehicles only when authorized, trained, and insured.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report any concerns, and immediately notify management of any change to driving eligibility.
    • While Crew Leads are the preferred drivers, employees in this role may be required to drive when operational needs require and all requirements are met.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with various insulation materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a team environment.
  • Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Work Environment: (will have exposure to all environments listed)

  • Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
  • Customer settings: This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops.

Physical Demands:

  • This job requires travel in a company-provided vehicle.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.
